MISSION&VISION
The Department of Economics, which is part of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, has started its education in the 2018-2019 academic year following the foundation of İzmir Bakırçay University. Izmir Bakircay University, Economics Department’s mission is to educate individuals to create human power required to strengthen competitiveness of the Turkey in the global economy, through scientific education and research. The world of the future will need more deep thinking and self-aware individuals. In this context, graduates of economics will be individuals who think about the role they play on the world, understand their effects on others, evaluate their own choices and realize how their decisions are formed.
Integrating with the vision of the university and the faculty, our department has a developed research and practitioner aspect, carries out original academic activities, aims to differentiate and focus, and has a department vision that starts to build its distinguished position in the future from today with its academic staff having strong international ties.
